In my review of this piece, I showcased why this is Japan’s best-selling watch. If there was ever a watch that covered all bases, this would be it.
It’s solidly built, is from a familiar brand, has an appealing design, a versatile size, and a movement that you rarely have to think about. In essence, this watch is the ultimate ‘safe choice’, making it a go-to gift option to avoid disappointment; as a consequence, it’s not the flashiest timepiece about.
As a JDM piece, you’ll need to order this one from Japan, but sites like Discovery Japan make this a relatively easy process. The only downside I had with this one was that the impressively precarious marker positioning did make this one more prone to marker placement QC errors; a minor inconvenience to what is otherwise an easy-pleaser.
